Rewilding Britain Back To Basics
Rewilding Britain insist that 'Rewilding – the large-scale restoration of nature – can go a huge way towards helping fix the climate crisis and the nature emergency. It’s nature – not just technofixes – that is in fact our best ally in the fight against climate change'. This is because nature itself - such as saltmarshes, trees, peatland and other ecosystems - are excellent at storing carbon or converting it into oxygen. Rewilding Britain are striving to help us to look at the big picture - rewilding involves restoring natural processes which allow ecosystems to function naturally and to the best of their ability. What we need to understand is that we are all connected and this will benefit all of us in different ways. While climate change is the ultimate threat, through rewilding, animal species will live fuller and richer lives in their habitats, while humans will have better health due to more efficient and breathable air - not to mention an abundance of nature around us.
